The Beginning of Understanding
We will never understand scripture unless we know God and accept
understanding from His spirit. That is simpler than many may think.
God is pure, and He cannot abide sin, but people are sinful. There
is nothing we can do to remove our sin, but God has provided us
with a way. Jesus, who is perfect, died for our sin, and rose from
the dead to take us with him into eternal life. All we have to do
is accept that truth and his lordship. We are then cleansed of our
sin, reunited with God and given the Holy Spirit, who helps us
understand scripture.
